RM50 book vouchers for Year 4 to 6 pupils

Primary school students from class 4 to 6 will receive a RM50 reading voucher instead of RM100 as announced yesterday.

The Education Ministry said students from secondary schools, tertiary schools and teacher training institutes will receive vouchers worth RM100. “Students from institutions under the Ministry of Education can get their certificates from today through the Delima app,” the statement said.

Students must register and log in to the application, where a license must be redeemed from the platform. They will be able to choose their books on the application, paying with store credits obtained via the good, while the books will be delivered to their addresses.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Higher Education, Zambry Abdul Kadir, reminded students of more than 1.2 million tertiary students not to abuse vouchers of the RM100 book as well as what happened before. “We hope that what happened in the past will not happen again,” he said after attending his monthly ministry meeting in Putrajaya.

Zambry said that the distribution of certificates that will start this evening will be done in stages and other details about the process will be announced today by the Secretary General Education General Zaini Ujang. He said, “This will be done in many and from the University, Polytechnics, etc.

Prime Minister Ibrahim announced yesterday and the government is going to move its good RM100 for students in the fourth year to higher education.

The vouchers will use a list of recommended books to encourage students to spend on quality books.
